Meet Noha, a counselling psychology masters student currently completing her practicum in Yellowknife. Since 2009, she’s proudly called this community her home, but her roots trace back to Montreal. Raised by immigrants, she speaks English, French, and Arabic, offering a unique perspective shaped by diverse cultures.
With a deep-rooted curiosity and passion for healing, Noha’s approach to counselling is infused with a natural inclination towards exploration. She hopes to ignite that same curiosity within her clients as they navigate their challenges. Noha brings a profound understanding of the psychological impacts of infertility, the nuanced intersections of identity, and the path to healing from trauma. Drawing from her personal journey as a parent, Noha offers invaluable insights into the multifaceted challenges and joys of parenthood. Additionally, with six years of dedicated work with military families, she has developed an understanding of the complexities inherent in frequent separation and relocation.
Welcoming individuals over 14, Noha is equipped to tackle various challenges including depression, identity crises, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, workplace conflicts, and interpersonal dynamics.
Her approach focuses on creating a safe space where clients can cultivate a healthy, respectful, and trusting relationship. Offering a client-centered, trauma-focused approach, Noha prioritizes authenticity and empathy, guiding clients towards healing and self-discovery.
